Laparoscopic Institute Of Gastroenterology & Oncology (LIGO Super Speciality Hospital) was started in November 2021 initially as an outpatient clinic by Dr. S.Bala Murugan at Mogappair East Chennai. Mr. S. Srinivasan was appointed as the Chairman. LIGO is started as a base for treatments in the field of Advanced Laparoscopic Gastroenterology & Oncology surgeries. Later in March 2022 LIGO was established as a 24hrs Highly Equipped Emergency & Multispecialty Centre which comprises of consultations in departments of General Medicine, Infertility, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Medical Gastroenterology, Dermatology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Nephrology, Neurology, Plastic Surgery, Psychiatry, Medical Surgical and Radiation Oncology. LIGO provides minor procedure facilities such as Endoscopy & Colonoscopy, Chemotherapy, POP, PAP Smear, IUI, Copper T Insertion, Circumcision, Sebaceous Cyst, Primary Suturing and Cosmetic procedures.
